I am very proud of this photo, and like most photos, I really ought not to be. I just happened to hit the shutter button at the perfect moment and caught a rappel recruit in a moment of concentration with her gloved hand and the focus of her undivided attention, the helicopter, reflected in her safety glasses.
I could never have set this moment up. I'm almost never that clever. Sometimes you just get lucky.
