Tell us the story of your lamp. Is it part of a ship?
I took a picture of a curious lamp when I was in Berlin at Christmas with Christie and Dana which I'll try to send you on Facebook. It was a carved cylinder that looked like it was meant to print fabric or wallpaper.
The lamp is part of the ferry we took from Saltspring (Long Harbour) to Vancouver. It was pretty empty being Boxing day, and it was cold by west coast standards, so I had the run of the upper deck. I listened to music and took pictures of whatever caught my eye.
Not the most interesting story, and certainly not a thousand words like you might expect. But I do really like look of nautical things. Regular lamps don't have the same sturdy look.
Thank you for visiting. I live in Vancouver now, but I've lived in other places too. I take photos and make short films about things and people.
Please comment and be argumentative. It amuses me.

P.S.
ReplyDeleteI think the girl singer in Pomplamoose looks like Carrie, even her facial expression.
